We believe that fresh air and open space alleviate the stress a dog experiences in a kennel setting, therefore we installed 6,000 square feet of fenced-in play yards where the dogs can engage in natural behaviors like sniffing, digging, and exploring. The sights, sounds and smells encountered outside stimulate a dog's senses and keep their minds engaged. After a day filled with physical activity and mental stimulation, dogs feel calm and satisfied, which leads to better sleep, behavior and mood. Ultimately, regular access to outdoor time and play results in a happier, more relaxed dog.
Outdoor play also provides excellent opportunities for socialization. If your dog is friendly with other dogs, they can interact in small play groups throughout the day in a controlled and supervised environment. If your dog is not friendly with other dogs, that will not exclude them from getting outside time. They will go on walks, or play one-on-one with a staff member. If your dog doesn’t like to play, they can still lounge outside in the fresh air.
You are welcome to bring toys, blankets, beds, etc. if you think that will help keep your dog less stressed while you are away. We just ask that you don’t bring items that you wouldn’t leave them alone with. We ask that you bring good for your dog, as this will provide a sense of familiarity and reduce GI distress. Please pack enough food for their stay in air tight containers. We can also provide food for them, at no charge!
